St. Michael's College, North Beach Campground, Burlington, Bike Path

We left the Wildflower Farm and headed to Burlington to St. Michael's College where George had graduated from college. Since it was a Sunday we were lucky so there was plenty of parking at the school. It was a beautiful day so we walked around and George was looking at all the new buildings and some of the old buildings like his old dorm. The campus is so green right now and very pretty. We went in to the new sports complex and watched some girls playing ball. George was glad that he could go back to visit because ten years ago when Justine was playing basketball here we could only drive through. it has abeen over 40 years since he went to this school.
Camped at North Beach Campground which is a city campground right on the bikepath, lake and it has a beach. It was nice and we rode our bikes into Burlington and along the water. Saw the waterfront that was built with marble from the shores and some carvings into that marble.
The first night we had Doreen and Gary and our English friends Nocola and Mickey come over for some wine. All of us had a great time and a lot of laughs. The next day George and I went for a bike ride the other direction in the morning where we saw some of the destruction of the recent storm and floods. Later on in the day we rode into Burlington again and locked our bikes up at the docks and took the free shuttle up to Church Street Marketplace which is really neat. The whole road is closed off to cars and there are stores and lots of outside restaurants through the whole strip. Tonight we are hoping to get the Patriots Game but we don't know. All of us are leaving tomorrow. I think Doreen and Gary are going home, Nicola and Mickey heading to eastern Vermont and we are heading to the Lake Champlain Islands.
